EPC First Missouri Business to Achieve Multi-Site e-Stewards Certification

February 23, 2012

ST. LOUIS (February 23, 2012) – EPC, a wholly-owned remarketing and recycling subsidiary of St. Louis-based CSI Leasing, Inc., has recently achieved e-Stewards Certification at all six of their facilities in the U.S. EPC is the first Missouri electronics recycler with multiple facilities to achieve the certification.

The e-Stewards Certification program, created by the Basel Action Network (BAN), formally recognizes electronics recyclers that adhere to environmentally and socially responsible practices when recovering hazardous electronic materials.

“EPC has long been committed to the strongest and most demanding environmental standards,” said Dan Fuller, founder and president of EPC. “We have built a national and international reputation on adherence to the highest ethical guidelines. This acknowledgement of our efforts is greatly appreciated and is a direct testament to the dedication of our trained and motivated staff.”

In the U.S., EPC has three facilities in Missouri, along with one each in Texas, Nevada and South Carolina. There, EPC employees perform Department of Defense-level data sanitization and remarket or recycle all of CSI’s off-lease equipment.

EPC is a recognized recycler with the State of Missouri’s Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and has the largest DNR-certified electronics waste recycling facility in Missouri. The company maintains a zero landfill, zero export policy of unprocessed equipment domestically and overseas. In addition to recycling, EPC offers a wide variety of PC-related services, including the sale of new and used PC systems, parts and repair services, networking design, web design, web site hosting, repairs and upgrades, and IT asset management services.
